I began my photo journey with (stinky) film, learned and grew through digital, and find myself enraptured in a free-fall towards film again.

For family work — film feels like the purest & most potent tool to convey the feelings within.

For self love sessions, a combination of digital and film affords us the ability to truly traverse the landscape of your soul — giving us tools to access both breadth and depth.

Having photographed over 300 families and 250+ women (160 of those in 9 days) in the past decade, I chose to showcase these galleries as they are the ones that reflect my hands-off approach most effectively.

Lastly, this price point allows me to maintain integrity in the workload I’m feasibly able to produce, at the depth at which I aim to provide, with the amount of attention I care to deliver.

Yes. I believe the act of seeing and being seen through art, is a therapeutic act in and of itself. And yes, I have been told by multiple clients that ‘this felt like therapy*’.

(*’this’ in reference to their experience during the shoot, their experience of viewing their photos for the first time, and their experience of digesting my perspective on what I ‘see’ in them )

I invite families to reflect on the spaces where their lives take place; which locations mean the most, and how they want to feel during their shoot.

Whether that happens to be a single location that we explore thoroughly such as a home, a park, or a backyard, or multiple locations that takes us adventuring through the world — the decision is wholly up to them and their individual preferences.

Configuring a good analogy (‘analogies are life!’) is maybe the most satisfying task my brain can do, so drawing parallels between different modes of expression and the ways in which we ‘consume’ them (forgive me) is simply a joy!
